The Riviera is calling!
Cohiba is a storied brand that continues to impress with extravagant blends and superb construction. Walk into any store and you'll see this brand on the top shelf calling out your name. Why stick to cube steak when you can go straight for a fillet? Cohiba is a brand that'll be there for the moments that call for celebration and a dash of fancy!
For the first regular production release since the Cohiba Royale, we've found ourselves lucky enough to enjoy a list of multiple "firsts" for the brand in this blend and they're something worth talking about. Hailing from General Cigar's factory in Esteli, Nicaragua; we'll get to enjoy top-notch construction in the form of the first-ever box-pressed Cohiba! At the core of this opulent blend is a meticulously bunched selection of Honduran and Nicaraguan long-fillers. Above that is a Honduran broadleaf binder. The biggest "first" for this blend is the use of a dark and oily Mexican San Andres wrapper. Each of the filler and binder tobaccos were grown in the Jamastran Valley and La Entrada in conjunction with tobaccos from Esteli and Condega in Nicaragua. Clocking in medium to full in body, be on the lookout for notes of dark chocolate, coffee beans, and leather.
Great news! Cohiba Riviera recently earned a 92-point rating noting: "The lush draw of this richly hued cigar leaves a layered, chocolate-like smoke with clear notes of oak, spice and leather. The finish is sweet and nutty."
